Our Wellbeing Wednesday Sessions

Our Wellbeing Coaches have now been delivering Wellbeing Wednesday sessions for a couple of years, and after changing the format at the start of 2024, it's been amazing to see the number of people coming along and benefitting from the group! Here's an idea of what you can expect from the sessions:

We've been working in collaboration with Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Community Programme so we can deliver a range of activities and talks alongside exercises.

Our teams have been working together during the sessions so that our Wellbeing Coaches are around to offer health & wellbeing advice, a Link Worker is there to help point you in the direction of any other services you might need, and quite often one of our Emotional Wellbeing team is there to talk about our social groups and cafes.

We've focused on a range of topics each week, including chronic pain, green prescribing, health checks, cancer screening, and diabetes.

We love collaborating with other local organisations and services who can share expert advice and information on the support they provide. Among others, we've invited Diabetes UK, Partnering Pain, Wildlife Trust and Weston Park Cancer Charity to come along and tell us about what they do - and we're excited to keep inviting different organisations!

We're trying out different activities alongside our exercise and health talks, so you can try something new and talk to other local people while you do it. We've tried mindfulness colouring, arts and crafts, planting, clay modelling and making our own bird feeders!
