Welcome to SOAR
Here at SOAR, we are constantly evolving and changing in the pursuit of excellence. To help achieve this, our recruitment processes are about getting the right people, to fit the right posts.
We’ve had a busy month so far and are welcoming Aidan Kettleborough, Ellen Summers and Rose Batty.
Aidan Kettleborough – Employment Advisor
Aidan joins the organisation as an Employment Advisor and is responsible for helping clients to achieve sustainable employment.
“I’m excited to be working in the community again as I am very passionate about working with people to help them succeed. It’s a great feeling when a client you’ve been working with is successful with a job interview and you see the boost it gives them.
Outside of work I follow Rotherham United home and away and I enjoy travelling and visiting new places with my partner.”
Marilyn Scarrott – Centre Coordinator
Marilyn joins the organisation as a Centre Coordinator. She’s responsible for providing reception services and assisting with the day to day running of SOAR Works, giving the highest standard of customer services to SOARs clients, tenants and building users.
“I’m looking forward to meeting new people, learning new skills and being part of a friendly team and getting to know all the tenants.
Away from work, I like walking, swimming with family and friends and socialising. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.”
Ellen Summers – Centres Manager
Ellen Joins the organisation as the Centres Manager. She’s responsible for the Centres Team, overseeing tenancies and building issues at all of the SOAR buildings.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the team and the tenants and working with the team to progress some of the building issues to make our Centres even better places for people to work, meet and engage with the community.
Outside of work I have two boys, Jack 15 and Roo 9 and we recently adopted a rescue dog who is a lurcher called Fizz. I like watching films, reading and going for long walks. I live in S5 so it’s great that I can walk to work (weather permitting) and already have links with the area.”
Rose Batty – Business Development Coordinator
Rose joins the organisation as a Business Development Coordinator. Her role is marketing and supporting our Community Partners.
“I’m really excited to join SOAR and can’t wait to get stuck in with the team and bring about some positive change.
Away from work I play in the South Yorkshire Mixed Rounders League and have just started mountain biking (my first aid kit is slowly dwindling). I also enjoy spending time with friends and family.”
