Cooking for Health

Cooking for Health is a new project where attendees can learn new cooking techniques, how to plan, budget, follow recipes to make fresh easy meals and you can take home what you cook!

We caught up with SOAR’s Senior Health Trainer, Julie Moore, to find out what’s been cooking in the kitchen so far.

“We’re on week 5 of our ‘Cooking for Health’ project and it’s been great so far. We’ve made spaghetti bolognese, chicken curry, chicken stir fry, carrot cake and flapjack. Next week we’re making chicken wraps and apple health bars. We have 8 participants loving the course, the recipes are what the participants have asked to learn to cook.”
