Burngreave Library – Working hard to welcome you back soon

Burngreave Library staff and volunteers have missed you and we are working hard to reopen as soon and as safely as we can. This will be in phases over the next few months as we open our services to the public again.

We are working with Sheffield libraries to re-organise the library and put in social distancing measures so that everyone should be safe when the library opens. This is an important part of re-opening, with safety being our number one priority.

On a phased basis during July, we will be offering an ‘Order and Collect’ service where library users will be able to phone or email in and ask for a selection of books to be prepared for them. You’ll then be given a time to collect the books a few days later.

We’ll be starting to open the library for access to computers and browsing as soon, and as safely as we can. We’ll share more information as soon as we know about dates.

Sheffield libraries have extended the return dates for books and no fines will be incurred during this period of closure. Sheffield libraries will continue to provide online library services via our e-library and have a simple registration process to become a member. Visit: www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/libraries-archives/the-elibrary

Service updates can also be found on the Sheffield libraries blog page at: shefflibraries.blogspot.com and also on our social media channels, search for @shefflibraries

We will also post specifically about Burngreave Library on our social media channels @burngreavelib and Burngreave Library facebook page.

We are sorry our doors will be closed for a while longer, and look forward to welcoming you back to our library as soon as we can.

Thank you, Burngreave Library (3rd July 2020)
